The Goa Chief Minister Mr. Pramod Sawant would again be the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP’s) candidate from the Sanquelim Assembly constituency.
Notably, on the 20th of January, Thursday, the BJP released the list of Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) candidates, contesting the upcoming Assembly elections. According to sources, Mr. Devendra Fadnavis, the BJP Poll in-charge released the list,.including Mr. Pramod Sawant’s name and 33 other MLA candidates. The State’s poll incharge Devendra Fadnavis has said that BJP in Goa ushered in a new era of development in the last 10 years.
While the first list has been released with 34 MLA candidates name, the other lists for the single phases Goa Assembly elections for 40 seats would be announced soon. Besides the BJP, the Indian National Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) are also contesting the upcoming Goa Assembly elections.
Furthermore, the Goa Assembly elections are scheduled to held in single phase, on the 14th of February. In addition, the counting of votes would be held on the 10th of March.
