Mr. Sanjay Raut, the Spokesperson of the Shiv Sena, confirmed that the Party established communication with Mr. Eknath Shinde, the rebel leader of the Party, regarding his return to the party.

It is to be noted, that the Maha Vikas Aghadi Government is facing political turmoil, after Mr. Eknath Shinde, a senior leader of the Shiv Sena, and the Maharashtra Cabinet minister was inaccessible.  The MVA is unable to communicate with Mr. Eknath Shinde and 10 other Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) as they are in a five-star hotel in Surat, Gujarat.

However, now the MLAs and Mr. Eknath Shinde are in Guwahati, Assam, and are having a positive discussion with the Shiv Sena-led Maharashtra Government.  As per sources, on the 22nd of June, Wednesday, Mr. Sanjay Raut said Mr. Eknath Shinde has not put forth any conditions before the party, and that discussions are also underway with other Sena leaders.

Furthermore, Mr. Sanjay Raut expressed confidence that Mr. Eknath Shinde and other rebel MLAs will be back into the party fold.  He also said, after their return, the Shiv Sena would also address all the misunderstandings of the leaders, currently in Assam.

Mr. Sanjay Raut addressed the media and said, “It is difficult for him (Shinde) to leave the party and it will be difficult for us (the Sena) to leave him.  Our dialogue is on.  We spoke for an hour in the morning.  Talks are also on with the MLAs who are with Shinde.”  He further added, “Our talks with him are warmly taking place and they have been positive.”

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and the National Congress Party (NCP) President Mr. Sharad Pawar are scheduled to hold a meeting and discuss the current situation.
