The Chief Minister of Telangana K. Chandrashekar Rao will be inaugurating the Rythu Bandhu Scheme for farmers today. The CM will distribute new Pattadar Passbooks to landowners during the inauguration at Dharmarajupalli, Huzurabad Mandal in Karimnagar District.

Finance Minister Etela Rajender was tasked with setting up the ceremony at the village. Mr. Rajender explained, “Over the past month, the State Government has been in constant touch with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the Union Finance Ministry to ensure adequate supply of cash to facilitate immediate encashment of cheques by the farmers.”

He further added, “I personally met Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on the sidelines of the GST meeting in April and apprised him about the importance of the scheme and requested him to help the State by supplying required cash. And today, there is no dearth of cash for the programme.”

The Rythu Bandhu Scheme is a support plan for the farmers well being. This support scheme will provide an investment of Rs. 8000 per acre of land. This means Rs. 4000 per acre during monsoon season and Rs. 4000 during the summer season.

A total of Rs. 12,000 crores would be invested by the Government to provide farmers with investment support. The scheme also involves purification of land records. Farmlands would be analyzed and Pattadar Passbooks will be supplied to the specific farmer.
