On Friday, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao spoke about the urgent need for a Federal Front during his party’s plenary session. KCR questioned if the Congress and the BJP were the only parties allowed to talk about the Nation.
KCR was quoted saying, “Have the Congress and the BJP taken the contract to talk about the nation? Can others not speak about the country?” The CM assured the people that the days of voting for either the Congress or the BJP were over as a new Front will soon emerge. He urged the citizens to get out of their shell and see the destruction caused by the only two major national parties.
The TRS Chief also pointed out the leaders of the two parties were scared of what he and the Federal Front are ready to accomplish. He said, “I will show the country how things can be done as I showed Telangana.”
KCR went on to explain, “I am asking who has ruled this country for 70 years? Congress ruled for about 55 years, the BJP for 11 years and for about 6 years other Prime Ministers such as Deve Gowda, V. P. Singh and Gujral. These two parties did not even let these Prime Ministers work and survive.”
Mr. Rao said his primary aim for the Front will be farmers and infrastructure. He further added, “I promise ‘har acre mein paani, har kisan ko paani (water for every acre, water for every farmer)’. We will place before the country our plans to irrigate every acre in the country. We will show how this can be done in a matter of six to seven years.”
The CM showed gratitude to his TRS members for supporting him during the leadership of the Federal Front.
