Apple iPhone: The iPhone is an Apple product that changed the way of Android phones. Steve Jobs began Apple in 1976, 41 years ago. Ever since, Apple has introduced groundbreaking technology with their computers, laptops, iPods, tablets and phones. The iPhone started in 2007 and since then released 15 different models that have been the center of almost everyone’s world.

1. iPhone

The very first iPhone released by Apple was unofficially known as iPhone 2G. It was announced on January 9th, 2007 and released to the public in America on June 29th, 2007. The phone featured a quad band GSM cellular connectivity with GPRS. It also had EDGE support for data transfer. The first year of its release saw a sale of 1.4 million pieces worldwide.

2. iPhone 3G

The second generation of iPhones was iPhone 3G that was introduced on June 9th, 2008 in San Francisco. The iPhone 3G is quite similar to it predecessor but has quite a few new hardware features. iPhone 3G comes with GPS, 3G data, and triband UMTS/HSDPA. The iPhone 3G sold faster and the first week of its launch saw one million pieces sold.

3. iPhone 3GS

The third phone released by Apple was iPhone 3GS introduced on June 8th, 2009. The phone was named ‘3GS’ for which ‘S’ stood for speed. The 3GS continued in production for the longest till September 2012 just before iPhone 5 was announced.

4. iPhone 4

The fourth phone released by Apple was iPhone 4 on June 7th, 2010. This phone was regarded as the thinnest phone in the world by Steve Jobs back in 2010. It ran on an iOS 4 with multitasking functionality.

5. iPhone 4S

The iPhone 4s was available on the market by October 14th, 2011 in the United States, Japan, Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, France, and Germany. The ‘S’ in iPhone 4S stood for Siri the intelligent personal assistant.

6. iPhone 5

The sixth generation of iPhones was iPhone 5 released on September 21st, 2011. It was sadly the last phone overlooked by Steve Jobs before his death. Unlike other iPhones, iPhone 5 was in production for the shortest period of just 12 months.

7. iPhone 5c

The iPhone 5c was unveiled to the market on September 20th, 2013. This phone was different from the other iPhones with a hard coated polycarbonate shell. The phone ran on an iOS 7 system and sold at discounted rates.

8. iPhone 5s

The iPhone 5s was released along with iPhone 5c on September 20th, 2013. The phone came with a dual LED flash optimized for different color temperatures.

9. iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus

iPhone 6s and 6s Plus were marketed and stylized by Apple and released on September 25th, 2015. The iPhone 6s is similar to the iPhone 6 with an updated hardware and strengthened chassis. The iPhone 6s Plus has similar features as the iPhone 6 with a few minor changes.

10. iPhone SE

The iPhone SE was released on March 31st, 2016 by Apple. It included a updated processor and support for iOS 10. The same model was later re released with an updated storage options on March 24th, 2017.

11. iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus was released on September 16th, 2016 in a number of countries worldwide. The iPhone 7 was similar to iPhone 6s with extra color options and water and dust resistance. The iPhone 7 Plus uses the A10 processor making it different from all the other releases.
