India, a country where every day at least 400 people are killed in road accidents. People have become immune to the news of accidents and deaths. But what is the right way to react to an incident? By helping the one in need?

However, people have forgotten the human side and prefer the world through the lens. In an accident on Maharastra’s highway at Beed district on Thursday, two bikes rammed into each other. One of the riders was gravely injured while other was under the wreckage unconscious. Amidst this the bikes caught fire and the unconscious man started burning in the flames.

The crowd gathered around clicked pictures, shot videos and spread it on social media. This accident, however, failed to stop the flow of traffic and no one helped the burning man. The injured man then called the police, by the time they reached the scene, the second man was burnt beyond recognition.

The police have registered a case and investigating the details of the accident. But the main question is, why are Indians choosing to stay behind the lens and forgetting to help those in need. Forgetting the power of humanity, and how it can affect the lives of those around us.
