Barack Obama To Meet PM Modi In Delhi

The former president of the United States, Barack Obama will be meeting Prime Minister Modi today in New Delhi. This will be Obama’s first visit to India after he left office after his eight year term.

Obama is in the country’s capital to address a Townhall. The event is hosted by the foundation run by Obama and his wife Michelle. The former president is expected to interact with 300 young leaders from different parts of India.

The Obama Foundation released a statement that read, “The Townhall will expand the conversation about what it means to be an active citizen and make an impact and how the Obama Foundation can support emerging leaders in this effort.”

The Townhall is scheduled to begin at 3:45 P.M. today. The event will be live streamed on the Obama.org page and the Obama Foundation’s Facebook page and Youtube channel.

In a Facebook message, Barack Obama said, “I will be conducting a Townhall with young leaders of India who can share with me some of the works they are trying to do to make communities better and also answer questions on how Obama Foundation can help.”

Obama is on a three nation tour with India, China and France. Barack Obama is concentrating on the difference his foundation can make and has hosted events for young leaders in Brazil, Indonesia and Germany.
