Series bomb blasts in Nigeria killed more than 40

Kano (Nigeria): More than 40 persons were killed on Wednesday in the series bomb blasts in Gombe city of northeast Nigeria. The twin bomb blasts shook the city. The first blast occurred at the entrance of the Dadin Kowa terminus at around 7:30 PM while the second blast happened in the area of Dukku after 20 minutes from the first explosion, according to reports.

It is not yet known whether the explosions were suicide attacks or the bombs were planted. The deadly attacks also injured several others. The injured were immediately rushed to the nearby hospitals. According to reports, nearly 12 bodies have been recovered from the crime scenes. However, the death toll is expected to rise. The police officials says that their main motto is to save lives.

The suspected Boko Haram twin blasts claimed many lives and also injured many others. The attacks took place when the president of Nigeria warned the United States that its policy was to fight against Boko Haram.
