Donald Trump, the President of the United States (U.S.,) nominated three Indian Americans for some important administrative posts.

According to the list of nominations submitted by the White House, Rita Baranwal, Aditya Bamzai and Bimal Patel are nominated for the posts of Assistant Secretary of Energy (Nuclear Energy,) Member of the Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board and Assistant Secretary of Treasury respectively.

The White House, on the 16th of January, 2019, sent the list to the Senate, the Upper Chamber of the U.S. Congress, which will decide whether these candidates will hold the positions or not.

Ms. Baranwal is currently the Director of the Gateway for Accelerated Innovation in Nuclear (GAIN) initiative. She also worked as the Director of the Technology Development and Application at Westinghouse.

The other nominee, Mr. Bamzai, a Yale graduate, is currently a part of the academic field and teaches and writes about civil procedure, administrative law, federal courts, national security law and computer crime.

The third nominee, Mr. Patel, currently holds the post of Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for the Financial Stability Oversight Council.

The Senate will take the final decision regarding the administrative posts, which will be based on the nominations submitted by the Trump administration.
