Seven individuals, including three minors, in four separate incidents, were arrested from different parts of Hyderabad on complaints of harassment. The arrests were made by the Hyderabad SHE Teams.
Veeneth, a resident of Habeebnagar and B. Susheel were arrested for sending vulgar text messages to a 20 year old woman.
Another web designer named Aniketh Raj, a resident of Lal Darwaza area was arrested for harassing a married woman. According to the report filed by the victim, the perpetrator was an acquaintance who was harassing her from a time before her marriage. He was also forcing her to marry him.
The third case of harassment was registered against 20 year old S. Narender. The resident of Sanathnagar was harassing one of his female classmates after she refused his proposal. He also went to her house and threatened to kill her with a knife.
In another incident, three 17 year old boys were caught in the act while harassing women at St. Francis College, Abids Road. Their families were immediately informed. The minors were counseled in the presence of their parents and then let off by the SHE Team.
