The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) on the 12th of June, fined the Somajiguda branch of Kotak Mahindra Bank Rs. 20,000.
According to sources, the GHMC fined the Bank for littering on the road. The GHMC authorities received a complaint about the Bank disposing waste on a nearby footpath.
Bhargav Narayana, a medical officer of Khairatabad Circle, accompanied by his staff, went for an inspection and fined the Bank.
Mr. Narayana warned the Somajiguda branch of Kotak Mahindra Bank and asked them to dispose the waste at a dumpyard and the failure to do so would lead to the Bank being fined again.
