Haunted Places in Hyderabad : A number of people have experienced unexplainable things in this world. Some believe to have seen ghosts and others felt the presence of ghosts. Hyderabad is a historic city and some of the places in the city give you the chills either by its look or the presence of something extra worldly. Here is a list of all the places in Hyderabad that are known to be haunted
Banjara Hills Road No 12: Banjara Hills are known for its luxurious houses but it is also known for a graveyard at road no. 12. Many locals consider it the spookiest place in the city. The street lights on the road of the flicker inexplicably throughout the night. People believe the graveyard is haunted because tiers of many cars and bikes passing by the graveyard have gotten punctured without a probable explanation.
Uppal Stadium: The stadium that hosts international and national sports has been confirmed to be haunted. The staff and spectators who have visited the stadium often have seen a weird black entity floating in the dimly lit corridors.
Ravindranagar Colony: In the year 2012, residents of Ravindranagar colony were distressed with the rumors of the area being haunted. A few locals in the area committed suicide on the basis of being continuously disturbed by ghosts. This led to residents having sleepless nights and conducting regular prayers to ward off evil. A few people believe it is divine wrath coming to haunt them because of a temple being destroyed in the area.
Shamshabad Airport: The new airport in Hyderabad went through a lot to start functioning with protests and controversies. Once it came up it seemed like any other airport but then creepy stories and experiences began to surface. It is said that the lives lost during the protests of building the Airport haunt the place till date. People have seen a man with his head turned 360 degrees and even a woman in a white saree dancing on the runway.
Erramanzil: This area in the city is known for one house that remains abandoned till date because it is said to be haunted by a headless ghost. The tale told is of a man many years ago whose head was cut off by debt collectors on the day of the wedding. The man’s attachment to his house was immense and he decided to remain there even in the afterlife.
Dedh Lakh Ghar: The Dedh Lakh Ghar was constructed nearly 40 years ago. This house is also another abandoned construction due to suicides from all the families that lived there. The house is creepy to look at and locals have said they can hear a woman crying from the house in the middle of the night.
Khairatabad Science College: The Khairatabad Science College is desolate run down building. It is said to be haunted by the people whose bodies were used in the labs for teaching. Initially, it was a place where youngsters went for the thrill of meeting a ghost but then a security guard stationed near the college was murdered under mysterious circumstances.
Golkonda Fort: One of the most historic and sought after structures in Hyderabad is believed to haunted by spirits. It is said that all the people killed in the fort during the era of kings are haunting the fort. It is also believed that a courtesan turned queen, Taramati Baradari is seen floating in the corridors of the fort.
Ramoji Film City: Ramoji Film City is famous for two things, one being the attractions for film fans from the country and second, the building was built in a war zone. Unlike other tourist places Ramoji Film City has had to deal will bizarre attacks on their visitors and employees. These attacks remain mysterious but some believe it was done by invisible forces.
Kundanabagh Witches’ Lair: Among all of Hyderabad’s supernatural places, Kundanabagh’s incident beats them all. Even if you aren’t a believer of spirits this might spark a few doubts. The story is told of a thief who snuck into a house in Kundanabagh to rob but his plans were foiled when he found three women dead in the house. Although, after the police did their investigation they revealed the mother and two daughters were dead for 3 months. But neighbors were shocked as they clearly saw the mother few days before the bodies were discovered. Neighbours also said the trio were odd and never socialized with the community. In fact, the residents stayed away from the family after they noticed weird behavior like hanging bottles of a red thick liquid in their verandah.
