After Mr. Elon Musk, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Tesla, took over Twitter, netizens were divided into two, the first half is happy about it, whereas another was negative about the takeover.
On the 28th of October, Twitteratis flooded the micro blogging site with #ElonMusk, #TwitterTakeover and other meme worthy content about the new owner of Twitter.

Another filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri posted a picture on Twitter of Gadde with some people, including Twitter’s ex-CEO Jack Dorsey holding a placard “smash brahminical patriarchy.”
Taking a dig at the sacking of Mr. Parag Agarwal, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Twitter and Mr. Vijaya Gadde, the Legal Head of Twitter, Ms. Shefali Vaidya, who describes herself as a social media influencer also shared a tweet. She said, “Excellent! I was shadow banned and my follower count dropped steadily from the day I welcomed Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter.” She further added, “Hopefully, now Twitter India, Twitter Support will actually make it an unbiased platform!”
Mr. Sanjay Jha, a former Indian National Congress leader also expressed his view and compared Mr. Elon Musk to Mr. Donald Trump, the former United States of America President. Mr. Sanjay Jha said, “This man is like Donald Trump on a lower dose of steroids.”
Mr. K.T. Lakshmi Kanthan, the Head of Tamil Nadu Congress’ social media department said, ”There are many right-wing supporters in Twitter India and letting fake handles to do their hate propaganda which spreads venom in the society. Elon Musk should look into this, if he really cares for the freedom of the bird.”
Netizens are said to be extremely excited to see what the new owner Mr. Elon Musk brings for users with moderation and changes in Twitter rules. However, the Tesla Owner, on the 29th of October, took to Twitter and shared, “To be super clear, we have not yet made any changes to Twitter’s content moderation policies.”
In another sceptical one liner tweet, Mr. Elon Musk said, “Comedy is now legal on Twitter.”
Moreover, as per Mr. Elon Musk’s tweets, he would be forming a content moderation council with widely diverse viewpoints, before rolling out or announcing any moderation in content.
