On the 29th of November, Monday, the Union Agriculture Minister Mr. Narendra Singh Tomar, tabled the Three Farm Laws Repeal Bill, 2021. During the Winter Parliament Session proceedings, the bill to withdraw the controversial Three Farm Laws was approved by the Rajya Sabha members (Members of Parliament.)
Earlier in the day, the Three Farm Laws Repeal Bill, 2021 was passed by the Lok Sabha also. With this, the bill has now officially been approved by the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha. The Three Farm Laws Repeal Bill 2021, approved by the Union Government was the top priority of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led Central Government.
Announced on the 19th of November, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the controversial Three Farm Laws is now officially withdrawn on the first day of the Winter Parliament Session. After the approval, the Three Farm Laws Repeal Bill 2021, would now be sent to Mr. Ram Nath Kovind, the President of India, for his assets. After the President’s approval, the bill would be a law in effect.
The Three Farm Laws Repeal Bill 2021, is termed as the winning moment for the farmers, who protested against the Three Farm Laws for a year at Delhi borders. In addition, Mr. Rakesh Tikait, the leader of Farmers Union, marked their victory as a tribute to 750 farmers who lost their lives while protesting at Delhi borders.
