K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR,) the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) President, announced there may be an alliance between all the regional parties to form a national party, on Tuesday.
KCR, after coming to power in Telangana, said, “We have the responsibility to make our presence felt in national politics. The intellect of Telangana must be used for the good of India. We are going to play a very crucial role in national politics. We are going to show and give a new definition to the national political situation. There is confusion at the national political level and this needs to change. Unless it changes, the country will not grow.”
KCR expressed his desire to to make India BJP mukt (free) and Congress mukt (free) and stated the reason for this as the country’s need for a political party which can fulfil all the aspirations of the Nation and help the Nation develop better.
KCR also stated, he is proud the TRS won the elections with a majority of 88 seats without any support and alliance with the BJP and the Congress.
Speaking about the agenda behind the new political party, KCR emphasised on the economic and agricultural models.
KCR said, “The country definitely needs a new economic model, a new agricultural model. We are a very rich agricultural country and should be feeding the whole world but we are lagging behind. Compared to Israel and China, where do we stand? We should feel ashamed.”
The other issues he spoke about were unemployment, the need for increased reservations and many other schemes for the development required to make a qualitative change in India.
When asked about his move toward national politics, KCR said, he already discussed the idea with many economists and expects to unleash the same in Delhi in 10 days.
