The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP,) on the 1st of April, announced the second list of candidates contesting the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh.
The BSP released the names of 6 candidates, out of which, two are women candidates, nominated for the Uttar Pradesh Lok Sabha elections. The women candidates are Neelu Satyarthi and Nisha Sachan from the Mishrikh and Akbarpur constituencies respectively.
The remaining four candidates representing the BSP in the Lok Sabha elections are Amar Chandra Jauhar from the Shahjahanpur constituency, Manoj Agarwal from the Farukkhabad constituency, Pankaj Singh from the Jalaun constituency and Dilip Kumar Singh from the Hamirpur constituency.
Recently, the BSP released the first list of the 11 candidates representing the Party in the Lok Sabha elections.
The BSP will fill 38 seats with its members, whereas 37 seats will be fielded by the alliance partner of the BSP, the Samajwadi Party (SP.)
The grand alliance of the Mayawati Das led BSP and the Akhilesh Yadav led SP will contest all the 80 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh.
Uttar Pradesh Lok Sabha elections will be held in 7 phases, which are scheduled on the 11th of April, 18th of April, 23rd of April, 29th of April, 6th of May, 12th of May and 19th of May.
The major parties contesting the Uttar Pradesh Lok Sabha elections are the grand alliance of the BSP and the SP, the Indian National Congress (INC) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP.)
The results of the Uttar Pradesh Lok Sabha elections will be announced on the 23rd of May 2019.
