Anjani Kumar, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, thanked all the security officials, police personnel and the public for the peaceful Telangana elections, on Friday.

Anjani Kumar said, “All officers of city police convey hearty congratulations to you all for showing a great belief in the peaceful democratic process. We derived encouragements from your support at every stage of the election preparation. I convey my sincere thanks to each and every HG and PC officers and all senior officers who have worked day and night for the last 2 months. Their family support was tremendous. I convey my heartfelt gratitude to the family members of all the police officers. I convey my gratitude to all the political party leaders of all the parties and their supporters for contesting the elections with the true spirit of democracy.”

He conveyed his affection toward the people who participated in the Telangana Assembly elections and made it happen peacefully. He said, Hyderabad showed, it is the best in India and the culture of Hyderabad is about love and affection toward everyone.

The Telangana Assembly elections recorded a voter turnout of 67 %, approximately 25.5 % more than the 2014 elections’ voter turnout.

Telangana conducted its Vidhan Sabha (Legislative Assembly) elections on Friday. The results of the Telangana elections will be announced on the 11th of December.
