On the 4th of April, Monday, during a party meeting, the INC leader said, their Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC,) would not form any kind of alliance with the K. Chandrashekar Rao-led TRS Government in the Telugu State of Telangana.  As per sources, approximately 30 senior leaders from Telangana including the TPCC Chief Mr. A. Revanth Reddy the All India Congress Committee (AICC) in charge of Telangana Mr. Manickam Tagore and the AICC General Secretary Mr. K.C. Venugopal, who arrived in Delhi to meet the national INC leader Mr. Rahul Gandhi.  The meeting was held at the Delhi headquarters of the INC, where Mr. Rahul Gandhi and the TPCC leaders discussed several issues, including petrol fuel hike, paddy procurement issues, and other issues of the Telangana State.

After the meeting, Mr. A. Revnath Reddy said, “We held a discussion with Rahul Ji over various issues including farmers, inflation, fuel price hike, and paddy procurement, etc. Rahul Ji will visit Telangana this month. No alliance…Congress will fight against TRS and BJP in Telangana.”  He further added, “Congress would not ally with KCR and his party TRS at any cost because he is not trustworthy. We have seen him in 2004, 2009, 2014, and 2019. We can trust any other leader or party, but not KCR and TRS.”

According to the sources, the meeting went on for nearly three hours, discussing political strategies to establish and strengthen themselves in the Telugu State, which is seeing BJP’s progressive establishment, especially after the former TRS leader Mr. Eatala Rajender’s joining.  Notably, the two strong parties in Telangana are said to be the TRS and now the BJP.  Both the parties are eying to win the upcoming Telangana Assembly elections. Furthermore, the TRS is pitching like-minded to form the Third Federal Front to oppose the third National Party against the BJP.
