14-year-old wants to undertake Jal Samadhi

Rajasthan: 14-year-old girl, Niru Singh from Agra, announced that she will undertake Jal Samadhi (water burial) anytime in the future. Annoyingly when her parents asked her about her move, she claimed “I am a goddess. Do not ask me unnecessary questions.” Niru has also been observing maun vrat (vow of silence) for the past five years.

On Sunday, the baby goddess declared her intention to take up jal samadhi by writing it on a piece of paper at Amarsinghpura, Bikaner, Rajasthan.

As soon as this news went viral, a medical team has been deployed in the village to save her life.
Hari Singh, Niru’s father a retired headmaster, said “She has been involved in religious activities since the beginning. Five years ago, she stopped talking to everybody.”
The villages said every day Hari arranges milk for her daughters birth and has earmarked a place in the pond, where she would take the jal samadhi.
