2 IEDs recovered in Chhattisgarh, ahead of Rajnath’s visit

Raipur: The security forces have recovered two powerful tiffin bombs from Dornapal region of Sukma district in Chhattisgarh, ahead of the Home Minister Rajnath Singh’s visit to the state on Saturday.

According to police, a team of security personnel recovered the explosives, planted by Naxals. When the security force was patrolling on Sukma-Dornpal route, they found two tiffin boxes with Improvised Explosive Device (IED). The explosives were immediately destroyed by the bomb squad.

Rajnath will arrive at Raipur on Saturday afternoon on a two-day tour. He is expected to take part in several programmes in the state. The security has been beefed up in the state and special forces have been deployed.
