Delhi Assembly Elections – Arvind Kejriwal And Manish Sisodia Of AAP Win

Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi and the President of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP,) won the Delhi Assembly elections from the New Delhi constituency.

Big names of the AAP like Atishi, Raghav Chadha and Manish Sisodia also won from their respective constituencies.

The leaders of the AAP thanked the citizens of Delhi for showing faith in the AAP and voting for their Member of the Legislative (MLA) candidates.  Raghav Chadha, one of the strong MLA candidates of AAP, won from Rajinder Nagar.

Manish Sisodia, after winning in the Patparganj constituency, said, “I am happy to have won the Patparganj seat again. The BJP indulged in politics of hate, but I thank the people of Patparganj. Today, Delhi’s people have chosen a government which works for them and explained the true meaning of nationalism through their mandate.”

While the counting of votes is expected to end soon, the trends released by the Election Commission of India (ECI) suggest the AAP will have a victory for the third time.

According to the released trends, the AAP is leading in 63 constituencies and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is leading only in 7, leaving none for the Indian National Congress (INC.)

Mr. Arvind Kejriwal addressed the media at 3:30 P.M., and said, “Dilli walon gazab kar dia aap ne. I love you.”  He further added, “I thank the people of Delhi for reposing their faith in AAP for the third time. This the victory of the people who consider me as their son and voted for us.”

Mr. Kejriwal said, “This is the day of Lord Hanuman who has blessed the people of Delhi. We pray that Hanuman Ji keeps showing the right path to us so that we continue to serve people for the next five years.”

Mr. Kejriwal even cut a cake at the Party office, celebrating the Party’s victory as well as his wife’s birthday.

Meanwhile, Anil Vij, one of the members of the BJP, took to Twitter and said, “In the Delhi election, the issues have been lost. Freebies have won.”

Twitter is flooded with congratulatory messages from political leaders for the AAP’s victory in Delhi.

Though the official announcement is yet to be made, it is clear the AAP is going to form the State Government once again in Delhi.
