Mr. Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi and the President of the Aam Aadmi Party announced an alliance with the Twenty20 Party in Kerala.

On the 15th of May, Sunday, Mr. Arvind Kejriwal visited Kochin, Kerala, and announced the Public Welfare Alliance, during an event in the presence of the Twenty20 President Mr. Jacob.  Notably, the alliance was announced ahead of the Thrikkakara Assembly elections, scheduled on the 31st of May.  Recently, the Election Commission of India (ECI) announced the dates for the Thrikkakara Assembly by-elections in Kerala.

Furthermore, while addressing the public, on Sunday, Mr. Arvind Kejriwal highlighted the journey of the party over the years in various parts of the country.  He said, “Now, there will be four political alliances in Kerala–LDF, UDF, NDA and the name of our alliance will be People’s Welfare Alliance.”  He further added, “Kerala is God’s place.  Such a beautiful place, such beautiful people! 10 years ago, nobody knew Arvind Kejriwal.  Today, we have governments in Delhi and Punjab.  This was all because of God.  Now, who wants AAP to form government in Kerala?”

Mr. Arvind Kejriwal said, “Our newly formed party’s candidates including homemakers, students, and mobile repairers, defeated the sitting Chief Minister of Punjab and Delhi.  All because of God.”

Mr. Arvind Kejriwal assured facilities like Delhi in Kerala’s Thrikkakara once came in power and promised to work for the people’s welfare works.

This is the first visit of Mr. Arvind Kejriwal after he won the Delhi Assembly elections in 2020 and the Punjab Assembly elections in 2021.
