AAP MLAs Accused Of Abusing Delhi’s Chief Secretary
Written by: Tanya Patel - February 20, 2018
Chief Secretary of Delhi Anshu Prakash stated Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs abused him at Arvind Kejriwal’s residence. Mr. Prakash was invited to Kejriwal’s house to discuss the AAP Government’s ad budget.
According to Prakash, he was grabbed by the collar and manhandled in front of Kejriwal. Immediately after this altercation Prakash went to Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal and complained about the misconduct. Mr. Prakash has accused AAP MLAs Prakash Jarwal and Amanatullah Khan for the abuse.
While Prakash elaborately described the assault he faced, AAP termed the allegation ludicrous. The party went on to state the Chief Secretary was at fault and refused to answer questions and left. According to Prakash, AAP called him to demand more money for ads but AAP states it invited Prakash to discuss the faulty implementation of the Aadhaar card.
Mr. Prakah plans to file an FIR against the two MLAs from AAP. The Indian Administrative Services (IAS) will go on a strike to protest the assault against one of their own.
Ever since AAP came to power in 2015 they have had strained ties with the Delhi bureaucrats. The AAP constantly accuses the bureaucrats of obstructing their work at the behest of the BJP.
