Arvinder Singh Lovely a former Delhi Congress Chief rejoined the Gandhi Party. Lovely had quit the Congress and joined the BJP ruling party nine months ago.
After being welcomed back to the Congress Arvinder Singh said, “The BJP was an ideologically misfit party for me. I am glad to be back in my parent party Congress.”
Lovely’s return will be valuable for the Congress as 20 seats are up for grabs in the Delhi bypolls. The by elections were necessitated after President Kovind disqualified 20 Aam Aadmi Party MLAs for holding an office of profit. The Election Commission recommended this disqualification to the President.
