Former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee was put on life support on Wednesday evening at AIIMS Hospital. The doctors treating the BJP stalwart said his conditioned worsened in the past 24 hours and needed to be put on life support.
On the 11th of June, Mr. Vajpayee was admitted in the hospital for a urinary tract infection and chest congestion. His condition was stabilized but slowly his condition deteriorated.
Top politicians like PM Narendra Modi visited the great leader in hospital. Home Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP President Amit Shah and Senior leader L. K. Advani also arrived at AIIMS to meet the ailing politician.
Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee is on her way to Delhi to visit Mr. Vajpayee in hospital. Railways Minister Piyush Goyal and Textiles Minister Smriti Irani also took the time to visit the former PM.
Other politicians took to Twitter to remember the politician and pray for his family.
