The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP,) on the 14th of September, started Seva Saptah, a special campaign organised to mark the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Seva Saptah, also known as the service week, started from the 14th of September and will continue till the 20th of September.
During the week long Seva Saptah, the cadres and workers of the BJP will provide several services and will solve the issues of the needy across India.
Arun Singh, the National General Secretary of the BJP, said, “If there is anybody who can solve problems faced by the poor people in the country, it is Narendra Modi. Therefore, on September 17, which is Narendra Modi’s birthday, the BJP has decided to celebrate the 14th of September to the 20th of September as Seva Saptah.”
Amit Shah, the Home Minister of India, inaugurated the Seva Saptah by distributing fruits to the patients of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS.) After distributing fruits, Amit Shah, along with with J.P. Nadda, even swept the floor of the hospital to highlight the importance of sanitation and hygiene. The theme of the campaign is cleanliness.
Apart from this, the BJP also organised free health checkups, operation camps, blood donation camps and other health services for the people across the Country.
Avinash Rai Khanna, a member of the BJP, is supervising the week long campaign to ensure its smooth execution in all the states across India.
Arjun Ram Meghwal, Sudha Yadav and Sunil Deodhar were also given significant responsibilities in relation to the campaign.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will celebrate his 69th birthday on the 17th of September.
