Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor is a confirmed case of Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19. The reports were released by the King George’s Medical University (KGMU) hospital in Lucknow, on the 20th of March.
Kanika Kapoor was admitted to the KGMU Hospital in Lucknow and is undergoing treatment in an isolation ward.
Kanika, who had a travel history from London, returned to Lucknow last week, but refrained from seeking medical attention and getting her tests for COVID-19 .
Besides, Ms. Kanika also attended a lavish party in Lucknow hosted by her designer friend Adil Ahmad. This is said to be a tense situation as many bureaucrats, politicians and socialites attended the party where Kanika Kapoor was also present.
The medical officials in Lucknow are trying to figure out ways to quarantine the entire apartment and building where Kanika is residing.
Meanwhile, the guests who were present at Adil’s party were also advised to get their COVID-19 tests done.
According to sources, Kanika Kapoor attended 3 parties and came in contact with approximately 400 people during the last week .
