Today is the 49th Raising Day for the Central Industrial Security Forces (CISF.) Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter to congratulate the CISF. He said, “Greetings and best wishes to @CISFHQrs on their Raising Day. CISF has distinguished itself by effectively catering to the security needs of vital establishments, many of which are driving India’s resurgence as well as connecting the nation.”
Vice President Venkaiah Naidu also congratulated the forces and said, “With ‘Protection and Security’ as their motto, the premier multi skilled security agency is securing all critical infrastructure installations of the country. My best wishes to CISF personnel deployed across the country on the raising day. The whole of India is proud of your services.”
Ministry of State For Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju tweeted, “I extend my best wishes to @CISFHQrs on their Raising Day. CISF has effectively established as a special force with multi dimensional and challenging role in securing our country.”
On the eve of the CISF Raising Day, the Additional Director General (ADG) Alok K. Pateria said his forces would cover secluded spots at the Delhi Metro stations. Flying squads will be tasked with monitoring all the unmanned areas at the stations.
The paramilitary forces will deploy special teams with men and women personnel to patrol and scan the areas to stop nefarious activities.
