Two groups of the Indian National Congress (INC,) on the 1st of August, created chaos outside the Party Office in Jharkhand, Bihar.

The fight started when a group of workers tried to enter the Party office after being suspended and the other group tried stopping the suspended workers.  Soon, both the groups became violent and created a ruckus outside the office.

Police officers of the Kotwali Police Station rushed to the spot and controlled the situation.

An official of the Kotwali Police Station said, “The Congress workers fought at the party office gate with one faction trying to force its entry into the office and the second group seeking to stop them on the ground that they had been suspended from the party.”

A spokesperson of the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC,) who wished to remain anonymous, said, “Senior party leaders have convened a meeting in New Delhi on August 3 to discuss the matter. Ajoy Kumar, the president of the JPCC, Alamgir Alam, the CLP leader and former union ministers Subodh Kant Sahay and Rameshwar Oraon, besides other party leaders are likely to attend the meet.”

During the meeting, the INC will also discuss the position of the INC in the Lok Sabha and will try to chalk down strategies to stand as a powerful party in the State again.

The meeting is scheduled to be held on the 3rd of August.
