Covid-19 Cases In India Crosses 4.70 Lakhs With 56.71 % Recovery Rate

India witnessed another big spike in the Novel Coronavirus everyday cases.

On the 25th of June, India recorded a highest single day spike of 16,922 cases of the Novel Coronavirus infection. 

With this, India has a total of 4,73,105 positive cases, out of which active cases are 1,86,514 and 2,65,648 recoveries till date. 

The number of deaths due to the deadly infection including new cases stand at 14,894.

The figures mentioned above were confirmed by the Union Health Ministry, on the morning of the 25th of June. 

Speaking about the worst places in India hit by the Coronavirus infection, Maharashtra, Delhi, and Tamil Nadu tops the list. 

While Maharashtra has a total of 1,42,899 positive cases, Delhi recorded 70,390 cases, followed by Tamil Nadu 67,468 cases till the 25th of June. 

In order to curb the spread of the virus in Delhi, which has overtook Mumbai (69,528) in COVID-19 cases, decided to conduct screening for every house in DelhiDelhi.

The strategy is a part of precautionary measures to control the Novel Coronavirus in the Union Territory. 

The screening would be done by the 30th June in containment zones and by the 6th of July in entire Delhi. 

Despite the increasing number of cases, India is improving in terms of recovery of Coronavirus infected patients.

As per Union Health Ministry, out of the total positive cases, only 15.34 % required Intensive Care Unit (ICU) care and 4.16 % needed ventilators.  In addition, the doubling time of Coronavirus infection cases has improved from 17.4 days to 19.7 days.

Meanwhile, India is also conducting rapid tests, which resulted in increasing numbers of Coronavirus cases.  According to the population of India, 133 crores, the Nation is better than the other worst COVID-19 hit nations. 

Though, India stood at 4th position in the worst hit nations, it is still doing better.

The positioning of the COVID-19 hit nations are based on the number of cases, irrespective of the population of those countries. 

India also crossed 2 lakh Coronavirus tests in a day, improving the recovery rate to 56.71 % from previously 56.08 %.

In addition, in India after the approval of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) as many as 1,000 testing laboratories could conduct the COVID-19 tests.
