The Novel Coronavirus infections continue to rise with a massive increase in reported cases.
On the 27th of June, the Country recorded a total of 18,552 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus in the last 24 hours.
With the increased cases, the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases stand at a total of 5,08,953 cases.
Out of this total, 1,97,387 are active cases and 2,95,881 are recovered/discharged cases.
Meanwhile the total deaths in the Country stand at 15,685.
India tested as many as 2,20,479 samples on the 26th of June, whereas till the 26th of June, 79,96,707 samples have been tested.
Despite the recovery rate which is 58.28 % at present, the Novel Coronavirus cases crossed from 4 lakhs to 5 lakhs in just 6 days.
Out of all Indian states and union territories, Maharashtra recorded the highest number of the Novel Coronavirus infections.
Maharashtra has a total of 1,52,765 cases, followed by Delhi 77,240 and Tamil Nadu 74,622.
Other States with cases more than 10,000 are:
Gujarat (30,158,) Uttar Pradesh (20, 943,) Rajasthan (16,660,) West Bengal (16,190,) Haryana (12,884,) Madhya Pradesh (12,798,) Telangana (12,349,) Andhra Pradesh (11, 489) and Karnataka (11,005.)
