COVID-19 – MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan Conducts Emergency Meeting

Soon after becoming the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh (M.P.,) Shivraj Singh Chouhan, called for an emergency high level meeting in Bhopal, M.P.

The meeting was organised to discuss the implementations and measures to stop the spread of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.  Health department officials, senior leaders and other state officials attended the meeting.

Speaking about the measures, Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, “We will impose curfew in Jabalpurand Bhopal from March 24 where positive cases of Coronavirus are found.  People should strictly follow (the) lockdown imposed in 36 districts of the State. I appeal to people to stay at home for all of us.”

Mr. Chouhan, took the oath as the Chief Minister of M.P., on the night of the 23rd of March.  A day after, as the new Chief Minister he organised a 4 day special Assembly session to discuss the budget, to prove the majority and other ongoing issues.

The special Assembly session is scheduled from the 24th  to 27th of March.

Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh reported a total of 7 positive cases and all of them are undergoing treatment at government hospitals.
