It’s not every day that you excitingly open a Flipkart package for your new iPhone 8 and find the company has sent you a detergent bar instead. Well unfortunately for 26 year old Tabrej Mehaboob Nagrali this is what happened.
Nagrali shelled out Rs. 55,000 for the iPhone and was sent Active Wheel detergent bar by the online shopping website Flipkart. The software engineer was shocked and immediately approached the Byculla Police Station in Mumbai. Nagrali registered a complaint against Flipkart in a case of cheating.
Senior Police Inspector Avinash Shingte said, “Nagrali approached us with a complaint on Wednesday, and an offence of cheating was registered against Flipkart.”
The Flipkart spokesperson stated the company has zero tolerance on customer trust impacting incidents. They further stated the incident was being investigated and the matter would be resolved at the earliest.
