Delhi Assembly Elections – Amit Shah Addresses Public Rally, Criticises Arvind Kejriwal

Amit Shah, the Home Minister of India, on the 23rd of January, conducted a roadshow and criticised Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi.

Mr. Shah said the opposition, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP,) is making false promises and if a competition is held for making false promises, Arvind Kejriwal would win the first prize.

He said, “If there is a competition in the country of making false promises, Kejriwal would definitely get the first prize. I have come to remind you that you forgot the promises you made, but neither the people of Delhi nor BJP workers have forgotten.”

During a public rally in Matiala constituency of West Delhi, Amit Shah said the AAP won the elections based on the ideals of Anna Hazare but never stood for those principles after winning.

Amit Shah said, “You became CM with the help of Anna Hazare but couldn’t bring a law for Lokpal and when Modi ji brought it you didn’t implement it here.”

Meanwhile, Arvind Kejriwal also appealed to the citizens of Delhi to vote for AAP for the growth and development of Delhi.

Both the opposition parties conducted public rallies in Matiala of West Delhi for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections.

The major parties contesting the elections are the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP,) the AAP and the Indian National Congress (INC.)

The Delhi Assembly elections are scheduled to be held on the 8th of February and the results of the same would be announced on the 11th of February.

Stay tuned for further updates.
