The Delhi sessions judge who issued death warrants against the Nirbhaya rape convicts was transferred.
Additional Sessions Judge Satish Kumar Arora was transferred to the Supreme Court as Additional Registrar.
On the 24th of January, the Registrar General of Delhi High Court issued a letter to the Patiala House Court, Delhi, regarding the same.
Satish Kumar Arora would be Additional Registrar on deputation basis for one year.
Since Satish Kumar Arora was hearing the Nirbhaya rape case before his transfer, the case would now get a new judge.
All the four convicts are expected to be hanged to death on the 1st of February at 6:00 A.M.
