After receiving the Padma Bhushan award, M. S. Dhoni was showered with congratulatory tweets from celebrities. President Ram Nath Kovind conferred the former Indian skipper at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi.
On the 2nd of April, 2011 M. S. Dhoni hit the final boundary to give India the much awaited World Cup title. After 28 years, India beat Sri Lanka in the World Cup finals by six wickets at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Dhoni’s team congratulated the former captain for receiving the third highest civilian award in India.
