In Maharashtra, a total of 18 Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) took oath as the ministers of Maharashtra.
On the 9th of August, Tuesday, Mr. Eknath Shinde, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, expanded the newly formed Government cabinet. Of the total 18 MLAs, 9 were from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the remaining 9 were from the Shiv Sena faction led by Mr. Eknath Shinde, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
The 18 MLAs were sworn in as ministers at a grand ceremony in Mumbai.
BJP MLAs who got cabinet berths are, Mr. Chandrakant Patil, Mr. Sudhir Mungantiwar, Mr. Girish Mahajan, Mr. Suresh Khade, Mr. Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Mr. Ravindra Chavhan, Mr. Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Mr. Vijaykumar Gavit and Mr. Atul Save.
From the Shiv Sena camp, Mr. Dada Bhuse, Mr. Sandeepan Bhumre, Mr. Uday Samant, Mr. Tanaji Sawant, Mr. Abdul Sattar, Mr. Deepak Kesarkar, Mr. Gulabrao Patil, Mr. Sanjay Rathod and Mr. Shambhuraje Desai took the office oath.
