Pranab Mukherjee, the former President of India is in a comatose state.
Recently, Mr. Mukherjee was tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19. He was then shifted to the Army’s Research and Referral (R&R) Hospital and was undergoing treatment. He also underwent a brain surgery on the 10th of August, after a clot was discovered.
The hospital authority, on the morning of the 13th of August said, though Pranab Mukherjee is in comatose, vital parameters are stable.
The hospital further said, Mr. Mukherjee’s condition remains unchanged and he continues to be on ventilatory support.
Meanwhile, Mr. Mukherjee’s son Abhijit, on the morning of the 13th of August, took to Twitter and rubbished all the fake news about Mr. Mukherjee’s demise.
He said, “Speculations & fake news being circulated by reputed Journalists on social media clearly reflects that Media in India has become a factory of Fake News.”
Mukherjee’s daughter Shamistha also said that rumours should not be spread about the former President.
Currently he is in hospital and under observation by multi specialist doctors at the Army’s Research and Referral Hospital, New Delhi.
