Forbes India: 6 Female Trailblazers Taking The World By Storm

The Forbes magazine selected a few successful hardworking women entrepreneurs and named them the torchbearers of hope. Let us see 6 of these women with a mission, persuading others to dream bigger and climb higher.

1. Suhani Mohan


Suhani Mohan, a 28 year old from Mumbai is the Cofounder and CEO of Saral Designs. Started in 2015, the startup Saral Designs sells high quality sanitary napkins at affordable prices. Last year, Saral hit the 1 million mark in terms of units sold.

 

2. Manisha Raisinghani


Manisha Raisinghani, the 32 year old is the Cofounder and Chief Technology Officer of LogiNext Solutions. Raisinghani started the company in 2014 along with her Carnegie Mellon University batchmate, Dhruvil Sanghvi. LogiNext Solutions is one of the fastest growing Software as a Service (Saas) on logistics and workforce optimization.

 

3. Neha Juneja


Neha Juneja is the Cofounder and CEO of Greenway Grameen Infra, India’s largest clean cookstoves company. The 33 year old along with her batchmate Ankit Mathur started Greenway Grameen Infra in 2011. The company engages in the manufacture, design and distribution of home energy appliances.

 

4. Malini Agarwal


Malini Agarwal, the Founder and Creative Director of MissMalini Entertainment started it as a hobby blog. The 40 year old started blogging full time in 2012; today along with her husband Nowshad Rizwanullah they handle a team of 47 with revenues in millions. MissMalini Entertainment focusses on social media marketing, television production, video creation and digital audio.

 

5. Anupriya Acharya


Anupriya Acharya, the 48 year old is currently the CEO of Publicis Media (India,) a French multinational advertising and public relations company. Previously in 2013 and 2009, Acharya worked as a Group CEO of ZenithOptimedia and CEO of Aegis Media in Singapore respectively. Starting from an assistant media planner an ad agency in 1994, Acharya’s hard work and her leadership skills paved a path for her career.

 

6. R. M. Vishakha


R. M. Vishakha, the current MD and CEO of IndiaFirst Life Insurance did not make it to the original shortlist for the post of the same. IndiaFirst’s promoters insisted on including a woman to ensure gender parity leading to Vishakha bagging the post in 2015. Since then, IndiaFirst has produced impressive numbers under Vishakha’s leadership. Over the past two years, IndiaFirst’s profit has increased nearly five fold to Rs. 35.22 crores.
