GoI Reduces Non Subsidised Cost On LPG Cylinders

On the 1st of April, the Indian Government reduced the prices of the LPG cylinders by Rs. 65, nationwide.

The reduction was announced during the 21 day lockdown due to the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.

In the last two months, this is the second time the Government of India (GoI) reduced the price of the non subsidised LPG cylinders.  Previous reduction on the 14.2 kg non subsidised LPG was done on the 1st of March, whereas the second one was done on the afternoon of the 1st of April.

Now, with a reduction of Rs. 65, the cost of the LPG cylinders would be near to 800.  The price would differ in different states and cities like in Delhi LPG cost would be Rs. 744, in Mumbai Rs.714.50, Rs. 774.5 in Kolkata and  Rs. 761.5 in Chennai.

This reduction would give ease to the consumers in all the metropolitan cities in India,especially when the nation is under lockdown.

The 21 day lockdown announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi would continue till the 15th of  April.

Meanwhile, the number of COVID-19 cases reported in India crossed 1,600, whereas 55 casualties were reported.
