The State notorious for its skewed gender ratio Haryana has finally overcome this and touched the mark of 950 women for every 1000 men. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar speaking to the media on Friday had said that the gender ratio at birth for the month of March this year is 950 girls to 1000 boys. The CM also said that this was the first time the state beat the skewed ratio.

During March, the district wise data for gender ratio in Kaithal, Rohtak, Jhajjar, Gurugram, Bhiwani, Jind, Fatehabad, Panchkula, Rewari, Ambala, Mewat, Sonepat and Faridabad was at 864, 863, 893, 893, 893, 896, 898, 912, 913, 921, 926, 939 and 947 respectively.
