The Haryana Police, on the 3rd of August, interrogated three men for allegedly spying on a military camp in Hisar, Haryana.
The three of them were questioned by the security and intelligence agencies and gave contradictory statements, which increased the suspicion of the Police and intelligence agencies.
All the three accused work at the Hisar Cantonment for a civil construction firm. The Police arrested the men on the 1st of August.
The three men were identified as Mahtab (28,) Khalid (25) and Ragib (34.) All 3 of them hail from Uttar Pradesh. Mahtab is said to be the prime accused among the three arrested.
Since a week, the Police and intelligence agencies were keeping an eye on the 3 accused as their activities were suspicious. They used to shoot videos and click pictures of the army soldiers at the military camp.
According to sources, the Police found photos and videos of the soldiers at the camp performing their routine duties, on the mobile phones of the 3 arrested.
The Haryana Police said, “The Military Intelligence zeroed in on the three alleged spies after they were found to be in touch with suspected Pakistani agents through WhatsApp voice and video calls.”
Mahtab, Khalid and Ragib are in custody of the Haryana Police and are being interrogated.
