India, on the 23rd of November, logged the lowest, 7,579 new Wuhan virus (Novel Coronavirus- COVID-19) infections.
The new 7,579 single day cases is the lowest in the past 543 days. On Tuesday morning, the Union Ministry of Health confirmed the new case and updated the figures.
According to the Union Health Ministry, India reported 7,579 new cases and 236 fatalities. With this, India has 3,45,26,480 positive cases, of which 1,13,584 are active cases, 4,66,147 deceased cases and 3,39,46,749 recovered/discharged cases.
The COVID-19 updates are available on the official website of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW.) As per the MoHFW data, Of the total 236 new fatalities, 180 cases were reported from Kerala and 14 from West Bengal. The ministry stressed that more than 70 % of the deaths occurred due to comorbidities.
In addition, the COVID-19 recovery is recorded at 98.32 %, the highest since March 2020 and fatality rate at 0.35 %.
Meanwhile, the cumulative doses of the COVID-19 vaccines administered in India so far exceeded 117.63 crores.
