On the 3rd of July, the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation extended the ban on international flights. 

Instead of initial the 15th of July, the Civil Aviation Ministry extended the ban till the 31st of July.

The decision to ban the flights came after the Civil Aviation Ministry increased capacity on domestic routes from 33 % to 45 %.

Recently, Hardeep Singh Puri, the Union Civil Aviation Ministry, hinted upon opening international flights by the end of July. However, he said the international flights resumption would be possible after the domestic flights capacity would be increased to 50-55 %.

Meanwhile, India recorded 6,28,445 cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19. 

Out of the total, 2,29,665 are active cases, 3,80,473 are recovered/cured cases and 18,241 are deceased.
