Mr. Mulayam Singh Yadav, the Founder of the Samajwadi Party, passed away while undergoing treatment at Medanta hospital in Gurugram.
According to sources, Mr. Mulayam Singh Yadav, the former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, 82 years old, took his last breath at 8:15 A.M., on the 10th of October.
The SP patriarch’s condition had been “quite critical” for the past few weeks and he was on life-saving drugs, confirmed the Medanta Hospital, Gurugram in a bulletin released on the evening of the 9th of October. The news of Mr. Mulayam Singh Yadav’s demise was confirmed by his son Mr. Akhilesh Yadav in a Twitter post. The tweet posted in Hindi read, “Mere adarniya pitaji aur sabke netaji nahi rahe – Akhilesh Yadav.”
Soon after learning about the demise of the SP founder, Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi expressed his condolences and said, “Shri Mulayam Singh Yadav Ji was a remarkable personality. He was widely admired as a humble and grounded leader who was sensitive to people’s problems. He served people diligently and devoted his life towards popularising the ideals of Loknayak JP and Dr. Lohia.”
Moreover, highlighting the life and political career of Mr. Mulayam Singh Yadav, he was born on the 22nd of November, 1939 and was a senior Indian politician. He was the founder of the Samajwadi Party. He was a member of Lok Sabha, representing the Azamgarh constituency of Uttar Pradesh.
The Samajwadi Party (SP) founder and three time Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Mulayam Singh Yadav emerged as a socialist leader and established himself as the Other Backward Class (OBC) Stalwart.
Moreover, Mr. Mulayam Singh Yadav’s last rites are likely to be held on the 10th of October, Monday.
