In Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district, one army soldier was killed in a suspected incident of fratricide.
Occurred on the 15th of July, Friday morning, the incident happened during an alleged shootout inside an Army camp in the Surankote area of Poonch. Getting into the details, the soldiers were being deployed for ROP (road opening party) duties, when the alleged shootout happened.
A senior Army officer of the district confirmed the incident, in which one was killed and three were left injured. All the three injured victims were shifted to a nearby army hospital and are undergoing treatment.
