Seventeen Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) administered oath as the Ministers of Karnataka.

Vajubhai Vala, the Governor of Karnataka, administered the oath of office to the elected MLAs, who will form the Cabinet in Karnataka after the BJP came to power.

The final list of the ministers was given by Amit Shah, the Home Minister of India, on the 19th of August.

The 17 ministers who took oath on the 20th of August were Govind Karjol, Ashwath Narayan C.N., Laxman Savadi, K.S. Eshwarappa, R. Ashoka, Jagadish Shettar, B. Sreeramulu, S. Suresh Kumar, V. Somanna, C.T. Ravi, Basavaraj Bommai, Kota Shrinivas Poojari, J.C. Madhu Seamy, C.C. Patil, H. Nagesh, Prabhu Chauhan and Shashikala Jolle Annasaheb.

 The oath taking ceremony started at 10:30 A.M., on the 20th of August, at Raj Bhavan, Karnataka.

After the oath taking ceremony, B.S. Yediyurappa, the Chief Minister of Karnataka, will conduct a Cabinet meeting with the newly inducted ministers at Vidhana Soudha, Karnataka.
