Mr. Basavaraj Bommai, the Chief Minister of Karnataka, on the 11th of November, asked government employees to work an hour extra.

On Friday, Mr. Basavaraj Bommai asked all the government employees to contribute their one hour extra, with a vision of the development of Karnataka, with a rapid speed.  Addressing an event where a delegation of Karnataka State Government Employees Association was facilitating him for constituting the 7th Pay Commission and implementing a revised pay scale for state government employees.

The appeal to the government employees was the aim of making India a $5 trillion economy. Extending gratitude to all the employees, the Karnataka Chief Minister said, when he assumed office as the CM, the State of Karnataka was in a deficit of Rs. 5,000 crore, but now it is generating good revenue, with the efforts of the State Government employees.  Special mention and thanks was for the Health Sector and Police Department, which worked 24X7, making the Southern State a safe place for its citizens, providing services round the clock.

Concluding, Mr. Basavaraj Bommai also announced a revised pay scale for all government employees.  He also asked them to work hard for the development of the State.
