Today, Lamborghini launched the SUV Urus in India priced at Rs. 3 crores. The Italian car maker’s performance SUV has been worked on for a long time. This is the second SUV in the company’s history as supercars have taken precedence.
The Lamborghini Urus is a more practical car compared to the others. It can seat five people and it can be driven on broken tarmac. This car is based on the MLB platform that supports the Porsche Cayenne, Bentley Bentayga and the Audi Q7.
Lamborghini Urus has a 4.0 liter Twin Turbo V8 engine with a front engine layout. This is the first turbo car in the automaker’s history. This bulk vehicle’s engine is tuned to produce 641 bph (brake horsepower) and 850 Nm of peak torque. The amazing part of the SUV is it can hit the 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.6 seconds. The Urus has a top speed of 305 kmph and can hit 200 kmph in just 12.8 seconds. The top speed of this car is amazing as it weighs 2.2 tonnes.
The Urus is also the fastest SUV in the world with the V8 engine paired with an 8 speed torque converter. The SUV comes with a central torsion differential 4 wheel Drive with torque vectoring rear differential.
This car allows you to adjust the suspension setup to meet the race track requirements. The SUV has amazing brake performance with a massive 440 mm front and 370 mm rear carbon ceramic brakes. The car comes with a host of electronic aids to be able to control all that power. The Italian SUV is sold with 21 inch wheels that can be specced to 23 inches.
The company has also developed special tires for the Urus to promise better agility and race worthiness. The Italian company will send a total of 25 units to the three dealerships in India for sale. A select few were already allowed to make a booking during the unveiling of the SUV.
