Legendary singer of Indian cinema Ms. Lata Mangeshkar, has tested positive for the Wuhan virus, also known as COVID-19.
On the 11th of January, Tuesday, she was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. Currently she is in the intensive care unit (ICU,) under supervision of doctors.
Although she is diagnosed with mild symptoms of the Wuhan virus, doctors suggested her to be in ICU, due to her advanced age of 92 years. According to sources, besides COVID-19, Ms. Lata Mangeshkar is also suffering from pneumonia.
Rachana Shah, the niece of Lata Mangeshkar said, “She is doing fine; has been kept in ICU only for precautionary reasons considering her age.” She further said, “Please respect our privacy and keep Didi (popularly known as didi) in your prayers.”
